In Luke 18:18 a young man asked Jesus one of he world’s most often stated question:

"Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?"

The shortest and best answer ever given is found in John 3:16:

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that
whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world,
but that the world through Him might be saved.

The Bible tells us in Romans 3:23:

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

The results of our way in sin is reported in Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The good news of salvation is very simply stated in Romans 10:12-13

For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.

At this very moment you can offer a simple prayer to God such as:

"Dear God, I know I have sinned. I am truly sorry for my sinful way.

Please forgive me. Come into my life and save me."
